  • Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions at CIS. This includes directing all IT operations for the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions.
    • Analyze complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommend technical solutions.
    • Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
    • Provide hands-on solutions to IT issues routinely. Duties require direct involvement at every level.
    • Support operations in executing production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds production/engineering expectations.
    • Produce detailed time line for each application release and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status.
    • Direct and prioritizes the work load of subordinate personnel.
    • Review all designs, code and unit test plans where applicable.
    • Approves all business requirements prior to the technical solution.
    • Participate on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts.
    • Represent the IT function at customer review meeting when appropriate.
    • Direct education programs for her/his staff.
    • Perform liaison duties between users, operations, and programming personnel in the areas of systems design, modifications or trouble shooting.

    This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).


    Basic Qualification:

    • Must be U.S. citizen

    Education and Experience

    •  Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience
    • Ten (10) years’ experience with IT to include a minimum of two (2) years supervisory or management experience
    • Expertise with current technologies and products used in the industry 

    Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

    • High proficiency with network administration. Must be hands-on in all areas of IT, as the sole administrator of the network
    • Proficiency with CISCO , IP Telephony, and unified communications
    • Strong familiarity with back office/infrastructure software. Experience supporting M1, ADP, and SolidWorks preferred
    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and evaluative skills to resolve complex IT issues under demanding time constraints
    • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to meet deadlines, to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products, and to take initiative in the development and completion of projects
    • Strong project management, organizational and time management skills
    • Able to work closely with team members and ensure a collaborative environment with all levels of company personnel
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation skills
    • Expertise with Microsoft Office and MRP software


    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer key board; to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand; walk; climb or balance.


    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.



    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, as can be expected in a typical office environment but may sometimes be loud as can be expected in a manufacturing environment.
